The study aimed to identify the different methods of coping with
the psychological stress of the families of the martyrs of war in the light of the difference of some psychological variables, as one of the important concepts in psychology is (methods of coping with stress) (psychological rigidity), (orientation towards life), (religious faith) The face of pressure is the attempt by a person to restore his psychological balance and adapt to events that realize his next and subsequent threats. The psychological rigidity is: the ability of the individual to face the pressure with the following coping skills, logical analysis, cognitive avoidance, emotional emptying, receiving.
The orientation towards life is a tendency on the part of the individual towards the mountain or towards certain events and sometimes tends to live excessive to hope or to focus on the bright side of life or events or the side of hope and good, religious belief is the feeling that is in the heart of the individual drives him to do Good deeds and disobeying him for sin because of a sensor to observe God, and his fear, and measured by observing the behavior of the individual in multiple situations.
• The study sample :
The sample consisted of (87) families from the families of war martyrs. The number of the sample of individuals within the families reached (302) individuals according to the degree of kinship of the first degree martyr (mother - father - sister - brother) in Bani Walid area.
• Study Tools:
To achieve the objectives of the study: The researcher used the following tools:
Scale of methods of coping with pressures (Al-Hilali, 2009) and mental rigidity scale (2006).
To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher applied the scale to the sample and the process of testing and analysis and the use of methods for statistical and interpretation process.
• Results :
• Results of the study showed:
1-There are differences of statistical significance between the family of the martyr (mother - father - sister - brother) in the methods of countering the pressures.
2- There are differences of statistical significance between the family of the martyr (mother - father - sister - brother) in the psychological variables (psychological hardness - the trend towards life – religion( .
3-There are statistically significant differences between levels of psychological rigidity (low - medium - high) in the methods of coping with pressure in the families of martyrs.
4-There are statistically significant differences between levels of life orientation (low - medium - high) in the methods of coping with pressure in the families of martyrs.
5- The results showed statistically significant differences between levels of religion (low - medium - high) in the methods of coping with pressure in the families of the martyrs.
• Recommendations:
In light of the results presented by the researcher: a number of recommendations and proposals are:
1- the attention of social institutions families of the martyrs to help them to overcome the crises and tribulations suffered by them after the martyrdom of their children.
2- Defining the families of martyrs with the disadvantages of receiving.
3- Training families of martyrs to re-interpret positive.
4- Connect the families of martyrs and strengthen social relations between them.
5-Provide psychological support, moral and economic families of the martyrs, whether by the official parties or the institutions of the community.
6- study the psychological pressure in groups affected by the Libyan crisis, such as children, displaced and displaced.
